Rock Solid Wrestling Championship Committee Makes Decision Regarding The Canadian Tag Team Championship

On January 16th, 2024, the Rock Solid Wrestling Championship Committee announced that due to an injury to Jake O'Reilly, The Pissbeaters were being stripped of the Canadian Tag Team Championship. At that time the Championship Committee had made it clear that the titles would remain vacant until a suitable method for determining new champions could be made.

Since that time, rumours have run rampant about one night tournaments, lotteries, and even a drinking contest to determine who will be the next team to wear the coveted gold. Several duos have publicly declared their intentions to compete for the belts, while those looking to exploit former champions have also emerged.

Today, the hearsay can be put to rest, as the Rock Solid Wrestling Championship Committee has made a decision regarding how new Canadian Tag Team Champions shall be crowned.

After much deliberation, it has been determined that on Saturday, March 9, 2024, at 'Bedlam In Bracebridge' there will be a match to determine NEW Canadian Tag Team Champions pitting the current #1 ranked contenders in the tag team division, The Ring Truck Crew, against one half of the former tag team champions Anthony Darko and a partner of his choosing.

The Rock Solid Wrestling Championship Committee feels this ruling to be fair and objective to all parties involved. The Ring Truck Crew have earned their place in the match with their ranking in the division, and despite The Pissbeaters being stripped of the championship, Asher Benjamin presented an argument to the committee on behalf of Darko that the former champion was being punished for a situation out of his control and deserved the chance to win the gold back. The committee ultimately agreed with Benjamin's proposal and made the decision final today.

Now the only questions that remains are who Anthony Darko will choose as his partner, and will this new pairing be as successful as The Pissbeaters?...Or will we see The Ring Truck Crew ride their wave of momentum to capture their first Canadian Tag Team Championship?

We will find out Saturday, March 9th. Tickets for 'Bedlam In Bracebridge' can be purchased here
